THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10TH THROUGH SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 13TH



THURS. 8:00 AM ? Depart T-D via surface for the Friendly City, Philadelphia ? A Capital

FEB. 10TH City



11:00 AM ? Arrive at Independence Mall and begin a two-hour tour starting in

front of Independence Hall. The tour will focus on Lincoln?s speech given on his

way to the Capital in Washington, D.C. to be inaugurated.

The guide will also discuss the Constitution and the problems Lincoln had with the

document during the Civil War.



1:00 PM ? Lunch at the Dark Horse Restaurant, 421 South Second Street, Phila-

delphia, 215-928-9307, featuring Philadelphia Cheese Steaks, chips, and homemade

brownies. Cost is $15.00 and includes a beverage.



2:30 PM ? Tour of Philadelphia?s War Museum. The largest part of the gallery is

dedicated to Lincoln.



4:00 ? 5:00 PM ? Tour of Philadelphia?s Union League. Founded in 1862 as a pat-

riotic society for Lincoln and his policies. The Union League?s archivist will lead the group into the Lincoln Room and take the class to the archives and display the writings of the time of the Civil War.



6:00 PM ? The presentation of the Founding Fathers with Abraham Lincoln Live



7:30 PM ? Check into Holiday Inn in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Route 70 & Sayer

Southwest of the Capitol by the curving sidewalk. Use the intersection of First

Street SW & Independence Avenue as a marker.

5:00 PM ? Gather in front on Washington Monument for return to Crowne Plaza

for change of clothes and dinner
